About Dr. Ian Traill

Dr. Ian Traill retired missionary to China where he has been for more than 18 years. Previously he had planted a Church in Daylesford, Victoria, Australia and now he is involved in planting Churches in China and developing Traillblazer, Tony Smits Bible College throughout the nation. Arriving in August 2000 to take up a position teaching English at Universities and Colleges, working as a "tentmakers" ministry, he has been conducting Bible classes and training people in the area of leadership with the view of them starting their own home church. Ian has a strong desire to bring teaching to the people, thus he has written many books. A missionary is one who is sent to cross over geographic and cross-cultural boundaries to plant the Word of God and a local church, thus establishing God’s culture in a new location. The Gospel of John clearly portrays Jesus as fulfilling the ministry of a missionary sent from God (John 3:17-34, 4:34, 5:23, 5:36-38, 6:29-57, 7:16-33, 8:16-42, 9:4, 10:36, 11:42, 12:44-49, and13:20). Jesus Christ came as a missionary to this world to save us, but non-Christians reading His story in a newspaper at that time, would say that He was a failure. We, of course, are aware He did not fail. It is because of His mission that we are here today, and it was through someone else that we heard about Jesus too. Faith comes by hearing the Word, but if there is no preacher how can people hear? So we are going to all nations.

God hates the sinner!

You may say, “You are mad Ian, or You are just wrong”.

Now you may not read any more of this article, but I would encourage you to read the whole article.

Sin does not get a chance to get into heaven, on the other hand, the sinner who turns from evil to a belief in Jesus through grace with the act of repentance will.

God does not want us to be fearful. He wants us to read and understand His Word to gain assurance in the knowledge of our salvation. Thus in 2 Timothy 1:For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. (New King James Version)

Assurance should be the state of every Christian, but sadly many are still in the state of insurance just in case Christianity is right.

What is the fear of the Lord for the Christian

Proverbs 9:10 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding
. (New King James Version)

Wisdom comes from the assurance brought about by the infilling of the Holy Spirit and as we read God’s words of instruction found in the Bible.

The fear of the Lord is based on a guarantee of belonging to God.

The fear of the Lord is not a state of believing in doom and destruction for the Christian. It is knowing the power of a loving God whom you do not want to be isolated from, because of your own actions.

The Christian who is led by the Holy Spirit when he or she sins knows the urgency in the heart to repent to maintain the lines of communication with God.

The repentant believers having known the void that is felt in the heart by all unbelievers because of sin before salvation, will do everything to avoid this state of hollowness in their Christian Walk. The remedy being repentance!

We all need to obey God this side of the resurrection to avoid loss.

What is the fear of the Lord for the unbeliever

An unbeliever has very little or even no knowledge of God, or the outcome of an ungodly life, thus having no fear of God, or that there is a heaven or hell. But if you want a sinner to think about eternity, ask a simple question. “Are you afraid of death? Then you can introduce the Bible and show Scriptures like the ones below.

Ecclesiastes 12:13  Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter. Fear God, and keep His commandments. For this is the whole duty of man. 12:14  For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it is good, or whether evil. (MKJV)

1Peter 4:17  For the time has come for the judgment to begin from the house of God. And if it first begins from us, what will be the end of those disobeying the gospel of God? (MKJV)

Matthew 13:48  which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down and gathered the good into vessels, but threw the bad away. 13:49  So it shall be at the end of the world. The angels shall come out and separate the wicked from among the just, 13:50  and shall cast them into the furnace of fire. There shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. (MKJV)

As I have already said, “We all need to obey God this side of the First Resurrection to avoid demise.” But for the person who does not repent while living and then dies he or she will wait in the grave until the Second Resurrection (Revelation 21:8) where they will be judged along with some who think they are Christians.

Christian Misunderstanding of Scriptures

1Corinthians 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is foolishness to those being lost, but to us being saved, it is the power of God. (MKJV)

Palatable preaching is the removal of Scriptures or teachings which may offend some who may be listening. It is the softening of hard sayings found in the Bible in the hope of getting more people to join the local church. When we the Church lowers the standards just to get commitments, we fail to get converts. It is a sin and failure of the contemporary church when we do this.

It could be said another way, and that being should we preach or teach people that they need to accept Jesus, or be accepted by God?

Both! We need to say to the lost they are lost in sin and in need of accepting Jesus through repentance so that they will be accepted by God.

Christians when preaching or witnessing say to other Christians or unbelievers, “God hates the sin but loves the sinner” to make the Gospel of Jesus the Christ more palatable which is not a true understanding or interpretation of God’s Word.

Let us look at God and hate in the Bible

God is fundamentally a God of love, but He also has the capacity to hate as you will see in the next three Scriptures.

Psalm 5:4  For You are not a God that enjoys wickedness; nor shall evil dwell with You. 5:5 The foolish shall not stand in Your sight. You hate all doers of iniquity. 5:6 You shall destroy those who speak lies; Jehovah will despise the bloody and deceitful man. (MKJV)

Proverbs 6:16-19   These six Jehovah hates; yea, seven are hateful to his soul: 17  a proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, 18  a heart that plots wicked plans, feet hurrying to run to evil, 19  a false witness who speaks lies, and he who causes fighting among brothers.

Psalm 11:5  Jehovah tries the righteous; but His soul hates the wicked and the one who loves violence, 11:6  On the wicked He shall rain snares, fire and brimstone; and a horrible tempest shall be the portion of their cup. 11:7  For the righteous Jehovah loves righteousness; His face looks on the upright. (MKJV)

Malachi 1:2  I have loved you, says Jehovah. But you say, In what have You loved us? Was not Esau Jacob’s brother? says Jehovah; yet I loved Jacob, 1:3  and I hated Esau and made his mountains a desolation, and his inheritance to be for the jackals of the wilderness. (MKJV)

Literally, “God hates all evildoers and their sins,” However, His plan to send Jesus shows His loving benevolence and grace towards His creation.

Romans 5:8 But God commends His love toward us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. (MKJV)

God knew all the sins we were going to commit before we did them, nevertheless His plan was to show us amazing grace and love through and by His son Jesus the Christ.

God’s love

1 John 4: 8 The one who does not love has not known God. For God is love. (MKJV)

This makes it clear that God is love. However we do have a problem when reading our English Bible as it only has one word for love when in fact there are Eleven different loves in the Old Testament and then in the New Testament there are another eight different loves mentioned, however in the Greek there are another two words used to describe certain types of love, storge and eros love, but these are only alluded to.

For the purpose of this study, we are only looking at two forms of love, agapao and Phileo to see the slight change in our positional standing with God.

  1. Agapao Love G25

In John 3:16, God’s action to love (agapao[1])everyone as a prize and desiring them unconditionally. The unconditional aspect of this love is simply directed towards all mankind because God delightfully made us. This does not conflict with Scriptures that say, “God hates the sinner”. The lost sinner is a servant of Satan therefore can be used by Satan to lead others astray.

Agapao love does not equate to happiness. God is not happy with everyone, because not everyone is calling on His Son’s name. This does not stop Him from showing agapaō love to all of His creation.

Some may say agapaō love is the most powerful Divine love as it is unconditional, but that definition is limited as we will see in 1 John2:15 when man operates in this type of love to get or own something.

1 John 2:15  Do not love the world, nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him, 2:16  because all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 2:17 And the world passes away, and the lust of it, but he who does the will of God abides forever. (MKJV)

John 3:16 For God so loved (agapao) the world that He gave His only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. (MKJV)

In a Spiritual sense of God’s agapao love says He loves everyone, but in the corrupted human sense man’s agapao love can be based on an understanding of God’s agapao love which may be good or bad. But it may also be based on a worldly desire for objects, which is not good when it is out of balance. Therefore to say agapao love is only a divine love it not totally correct.

The dynamic of trust is not necessary for the one showing agapao love, but the one receiving this love must grow to trust in order to believe so that they can grow towards a deeper love.

Phileo in the Greek is to approve, like, sanction; to treat affectionately or kindly, to welcome, befriend and show signs of love. God is pure. If we believe in Jesus, God loves (phileo) Jesus (1 John 5:2) and us completely (John 16:27) and we are treated affectionately, romantically sanctioned. The phileo love is conditional as we receive it and by maintaining the relationship with Jesus.

John 16:27 for the Father Himself phileo loves[2] you, because you have phileo loved Me and have believed that I came out from God. (MKJV)

In John 16:27 the Father’s love is phileoin Greek, which is a love with strong emotions, to treat affectionately. God phileo loves us tenderly, because we are committed disciples who love His Son (John 5:20; 11:3; 11:36; 12:25; 15:19; 20:2; 21:15-17). He calls us sons and friends with whom He shares warm and friendly love (Galatians 3:26, 2Corinthians 6:18, John 15:15). God saves us and if we respond to the call then He is happy. God may well be pleased with other actions we do out of this love, but His phileo love is complete.

1Corinthians 16:22 If anyone does not love (phileo) the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be accursed. The Lord comes! 16:23 May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you. 16:24 Let my love (agape) be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen. (MKJV)

Revelation 3:19 As many as I love “phileo”, I rebuke and chasten; therefore be zealous and repent. (MKJV)

We may conclude that phileo love is for family, group, companionship, relationship and of the same type members. This type of love may grow and develop into a powerful way of life.

In Phileo love, trust is a key component; it must be gained and maintained with integrity as we walk in the process of sanctification. Because God shows this intimate love we will find it is conditional based on the quality of the relationship with Jesus.

God’s perspective of love can be adjusted as He views us in the new light after salvation. He changes our position and our names by calling us sons. It is true to say our love must grow from agape love to phileo love so that we will reproduce out of an intimate relationship with God in a spiritual realm.

In Genesis 3:5 for God knows that in the day you eat of it, then your eyes shall be opened, and you shall be as God, knowing good and evil. Then when the scriptures say God hates the sinner it is because He knows what sin can do to us. That being sin can destroy His beautiful creation and then to cause more destruction on and with others.

This is an extract from my book Augustine’s Error – It’s Not Sin it’s Repentance

Part of the problem of mankind is denial and the inability to take responsibility for one’s actions. After being placed outside the Garden, man couldn’t face the fact that he had brought this upon himself. He had eaten of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. This was too much for his small brain to handle and man set about justifying himself (“the not me syndrome”). It is in the mind of man where the battle takes place!

The mind-exploding experience of man gained through the act of disobedience, has brought about an inability to deal with his problems and the lack of taking responsibility. Man could have taken responsibility for his actions. He could have repented and therefore we would still be in the Garden. Man couldn’t bring himself to this point, so God needed to step in and bring about His redemptive plan. God’s grace is the marriage of the redemptive plan and man’s action.

God, in His wisdom, always shows His plan as a precedent in the Old Testament and then in the final outworking in the New Testament. I believe this is to prove to all of mankind that it was no apparition.

In conclusion we are not to hold back on the truth found in the Word of God by making it more palatable as this has not as effective as some would think. We are the sons of God therefore we are to minister the truth to the lost and dying world letting them know God is love but he hates the sinner and their sins too. It is sad to say that many in and out of the Church are unaware that their eternity will be in hell. They need to hear that they can avoid hell by grace through the act of repentance and believing in Jesus.

We need to get back to what the Bible says.

Bread of life or death

watch me teach this short sermon

In  Joh 6:35 And Jesus said to them, I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes on Me shall never thirst.

Bread of life speaks of Prosperity, Popularity and Power

Prosperity to provide sustenance nourishment, for comfortable life (sufficient to be content with what you have)

Popularity is associated with communion, symbolized unity, friendship, and spiritual nourishment

Power in many different realms. To have some control over maters

Is Satan a god?

Satan is a created being, who has thoughts, feeling, desires and motive therefore he is a person.

Jesus calls Satan in John 12:31 the prince of this world

Prince means ruler

Ruler means archōn ar’-khone– chief (ruler), magistrate, prince, ruler.

In Ephesians 2:2 prince of the power of the air thus also archōn

2 Corinthians 4:4

2Co 4:4  in whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving ones, so that the light of the glorious gospel of Christ (who is the image of God) should not dawn on them.

2Co 4:5 For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.

Man shall not live by Satan’s bread alone

However when Jesus says, “that man shall not live by bread alone but every Word from the mouth of God.” Mat 4:4 Luke 4:4  Quoting Deu 8:3

The bread Satan offers speaks of the same things but the outcome is different.

Jesus is drawing us to the fact that Satan ruler of this world offers a lesser bread.

We saw earlier that Satan is the god of this world and he can bless people with Power, Prosperity, Popularity and even a comfortable life.

Many worship Satan when they think they are worshiping Jesus

Asked to Test us

Job 1:7

Job 1:7 And Jehovah said to Satan, From where do you come? Then Satan answered Jehovah and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

God stood with Adam when he had sinned in the Garden. He also stood and talked with the serpent in the Garden (Genesis chapter 3). He allowed Satan to stand before Him and ask Him if he could test Job (Job chapter 1 & 2). He permits Satan to accuse the brethren (Revelation 12:10). Satan can make requests to God to test and sift us as he had done with Peter (Luke 22:31).  Zechariah 3:1 also states that God can stand where sin is. He waits for us to repent.

Satan is the “adversary” or “accuser.”

The Lord’s return regarding the Faithful and Unfaithful Servants – by Dr. Ian Traill

Knowledge, rapid travel, and lukewarm Orthodoxy

Daniel prophesied the increase of knowledge and rapid travel (Daniel12:4) and when we tie that sign together with the outpouring of the Holy Spirit as mentioned in Joel 2:28-29 along with the pleasure craze mentioned in 2Timothy 3:4 and religious formality in 2 Timothy 3:5, it all fits into the lukewarm Orthodoxy found in Matthew 13:24-30 and also mentioned in Revelation 3:14-21. There will be scoffers who will deny that Christ came or is coming and live by their own conscience (2Peter 3:3-4).

Does this not portray what is taking place in the Church and the world today?

When we look at the Lord’s return, we are looking for evidence and signs so that we can be aware of what is happening around us.

Matthew 24:35~39 The heaven and the earth shall pass away, but My Words shall not pass away. 36 But of that day and hour no one knows, no, not the angels of Heaven, but only My Father. 37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall be the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day Noah entered into the ark. 39 And they did not know until the flood came and took them all away. So also will be the coming of the Son of Man. (MKJV)

Matthew 24:35~39 tells us something important. It is giving us a sign of what is going to happen before Jesus comes back. People eating, drinking, marrying, life is going on just like we know it is. That is just a normal pattern.

When we look at Noah, he was building a ship for 120 years. He was telling people there was going to be a flood. People said, what is flood? He said when the rain comes. People said, “What is rain?” they never knew what rain was. They had never experience rain or even a flood. They had no idea what a ship was.

He was building this big thing and he probably had people help him work. He was telling them that one day this water will come, and people will die, but people were eating, drinking, marring, having children, living their lives, they had no worries and no need of a big boat or God.

Today people have become comfortable, they think they don’t need God. They have knowledge of a god or something about a god, but they don’t think they need Him. Noah was preaching for 120 years, or should I say Noah was telling people that this flood was coming, and only 7 people believed him, his wife, his 3 sons and their 3 wives, that’s all he got saved. Seven people, because they went into the ark, and they were lifted up upon the water. All the people in the water, his brother, cousins, and his aunts were taken away by the flood and taken away by the devil.

Success is like the flood. People don’t have any need of God. People don’t understand that a lot of success comes from Satan, he gives them success. Success is like sitting in the room, the door is open, you can come and go out of the doorway, like today we have Taobao (Chinese eBay), and we can do all our shopping and get it sent to our homes. It’s almost like we don’t have to go outside. We could run a business on Internet; we can make some money there. We don’t have to ever leave the house. We have a door, and we are free to come and go. We could be successful, and we have no need of God, then at the end of our life the door is closed. When it gets closed you can’t get out. It’s like the devil can give you so much success you don’t go out for God, then the end of your life the door is closed, then it’s too late. You can’t be saved after your death. Noah was saying to the people, come in, into the protection of God, but they were blessed by the enemy, they didn’t think there was any danger. We call that in English: complacency. It is to think you are comfortable and to not have any problems in the world. It was in the days of Noah so it will be like when Jesus returns.

Today in China, people are more comfortable! We are living as probably the most prosperous generation in history. We have more today than most young people in the world. What people don’t realize about China is that we have two types of people in China. There are those who are farmers who work very hard, and they don’t have much money. Then there are those who work in the city, who have jobs, and they have more money, they are living comfortably. This city is very modern compared with many other cities in the world, probably more modern than Melbourne where I used to live. China is in that place now where they are becoming complacent, they are becoming so used to the warm conditions of life, they have become comfortable, and they have no need of God. It’s telling me, according to the Scripture, the return of Jesus Christ is not far away. Let us go out and tell people about Jesus, so if they die, Jesus can come and get them. Once you die, and if you do not believe in God, and you do not believe in Jesus, you are going to find out the truth that there is a God, there is a heaven and hell. You can beg as much as you like, you can never get out of hell and come into heaven, because there is no right of appeal after death.

It’s like when you go to the court, the judge will say guilty, you can pay your lawyer some money, he could make an appeal to change the verdict, if you have enough money, he might make a good appeal, so the verdict is changed. But our lawyer in heaven is Jesus, you cannot make appeal once you died! You must make the appeal now.

We need to tell people because the next scripture is very important.

Matthew 25:12~27 But he answered and said, Truly I say to you, I do not know you. 13 Therefore watch, for you do not know either the day or the hour in which the Son of Man comes. 14 For it is as if a man going abroad called his own servants and gave them his goods. 15 And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to each according to his ability. And he went abroad at once. 16 And going he who had received the five talents traded with them, and made another five talents. 17 And likewise he who had received two, he also gained another two. 18 But he who had received the one talent went and dug in the earth and hid his lord’s silver. 19 After a long time the lord of those servants came and took account with them. 20 And so he who had received five talents came and brought another five talents, saying, Lord, you delivered five talents to me. Behold, I have gained five talents above them. 21 His lord said to him, Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful over a few things; I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord. 22 He also who had received two talents came and said, Lord, you delivered two talents to me. Behold, I have gained two other talents above them. 23 His lord said to him, Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord. 24 And he who had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew that you were a hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you did not scatter. 25 And I was afraid and went and hid your talent in the earth. Lo, you have yours. 26 His lord answered and said to him, Evil and slothful servant! You knew that I reaped where I did not sow, and gathered where I did not scatter, 27 then you should have put my money to the exchangers, and coming I would have received my own with interest. (MKJV)

Here it is talking about 3 types of people and their talents. There is one who has lots of talents! They can do many things, like Noah. He could preach, he could build and organize people, he did lots of things. He has many talents and for 120 years he used his talents as much as he could. When he went home to heaven, God said: well done.

Then there is another type of person, maybe like one of his sons, maybe he couldn’t preach, but he could build, he could do some other things. So today we can look at people and say that that person has 10 talents, that person used all his talents to do many different things for one purpose for the Kingdom of God to come. So we wash dishes, make a coffee, we say hello to people, we preach the Word of God, we teach the Word of God, we run church, we can work on a computer, we can write books, we can do a lot of things. So that person has lots of talents like Noah. When they die, they will hear God say: very faithful servant, come in.

Someone else may come along and say, I can’t sing, I can’t wash dishes, I can’t write books, I can’t preach, but I can do this, and I can do this for one purpose, for the Kingdom of God to come into someone’s life. So, they might bring people to church for one purpose to see people get saved. So the person who has 10 or 5 talents, are exactly the same, they will hear the same words from God: well done very faithful servant, come in.

The third Christian, say this: thank you, I’m saved, I believe in you Jesus, but I’m not going to tell anyone, because I’m afraid, I have nothing to offer, I’m not going to tell anybody, I believe in you, you are a wonderful God, hallelujah, and God will say to them: you evil servant, you are evil, because you has not thought of anyone else, you don’t care whether people come into the Kingdom of God, I don’t even know you, go away from me.

God gives us something. That one talent He gives every single Christian is their story. Every single Christian has their story of how they met Jesus Christ, so they have the story of Jesus, which is married to their story, which is the story of salvation. If you failed to tell your story and the story of Jesus together, and you don’t tell people so they can get saved, you are an evil servant. God gives us something, and if we don’t go out and do something, of course we have a choice, do we want to tell people about the Kingdom of God or not. I would not like to have 10 talents but only use 5; I want to use them all. I would not want 5 talents and only use 2; I would want to use them all. So that is a choice, is it not? Do we want to do it?

Today in the church, especially the western church, I see lots of people sitting in the church, they preach about making money, because everybody wants to have a better financial life. They are using some of their talent and they think they are going to be regarded as faithful servant, no, they are not! They will be regarded as evil.

If you are a Christian, and you are making a million dollars a year, and you think because you are making that money, you are a successful Christian, you are deceived. The Devil could be blessing you. If it is God you should be giving half of that into missions, so that you can bring the Kingdom of God to many. That’s one of the signs of these last days and it is a sure way to give God the glory.

Let us take countries like America, England, and Australia, they have many millionaires. They cannot take their money to the grave. You cannot take your money to heaven. Can you imagine a box full of gold, you tied a rope on the box, and you tied it on your ankle, and the resurrection comes, their body will go up, keep going up until rope becomes tight, they get pulled back down to the ground. Up, down, up, down. I could see millions of Christians in America, England, Australia and even in China will be like that, because they make, making money their purpose. It can be a gift from God to be successful; it can be a gift from devil too. God does not have the rope. We need to break free of the thinking, so we can make a million, and give half away. We could be given talents to make money, and when we come into heaven, God will says come in, faithful servant, thank you for feeding me, clothing me, thank you for giving me some where to sleep. And that servant will say: when? When did I do those things? God will say when you did things for little people.

I have found one of the hardest things is to get support for missions, which tells me the Lord is coming back soon, because people have become cold, and they do not see the urgency of Christ return.

There are many in the churches that don’t even know He is returning! The shepherds and pastors are not teaching about His return. They don’t know the hour, they don’t know the day of His return, we don’t either, but we don’t ignore the fact that HE is coming back. They are ignoring the fact that He’s coming back, and they are like the evil servants that builds up a big storeroom and filled it up with all goods, saying;” I will go there make this, and I will go there make this, then the next day, they die”, they cannot take it to heaven. There is only one thing we can take to heaven besides ourselves and that is someone else. The only way we can take someone else to heaven is to share the Gospel. And if we can’t share it, maybe we can help someone else by supplying them with finance so they can go and share it.

James 4:13~14  Come now, those saying, Today or tomorrow we will go into such a city and spend a year there, and we will trade and will make a profit, 14 who do not know of the morrow. For what is your life? For it is a vapor, which appears for a little time, and then disappears. (MKJV)

Taking Responsibility

Please read from my book a liberating message.

Summary of Matter

Satan sinned, Adam and Eve sinned and everyone in the world has sinned. The heart of man wants to sin, it is desperately wicked before salvation and it needs to be transformed to desire to be righteous, which can only happen after salvation.

Grace is available to all, but not all will call on God through an act of repentance to avail to themselves the fullness of blessing that God has on offer. An R.S.V.P. is required to receive what is there in the heavenlies (Acts 2:21).

R.S.V.P. comes from the French phrase, “répondez, s’il vous plaît,” which means “please reply.”

Repentance is the R.S.V.P.

Repentance invokes or appropriates the power of the blood of Jesus.

God had judged sin at the beginning of time.

The verdict on sin is that it has no place with Him.

The lack of repentance sentences a person to hell.

Adam was put out of the Garden because he did not repent.

God did not turn His back on Adam or us.

Sin is the spiritual sickness of mankind but the medicine is repentance, and the cure is Jesus.

Sin is in the spirit realm not in the physical, although it is in the physical realm where we see its outworking.

Repentance is stronger than sin.

Repentance opens the door of restoration with God.

Repentance brings about the transformation of the New Creation in Christ.

Repentance brings about justification, the new legal position.

Repentance starts the process of regeneration, in our literal state.

The Judgment seat in heaven is to confirm the sentence upon the unrepentant person.

The repentant believer will not face judgment of sins in heaven; they will be welcomed by God.

The judgment seat in heaven is to confirm the crowns / rewards.

God has made us in His image and likeness with a free will to choose.

Now is the time to be repentant.

We lost our pure state of innocence the second we knew we were doing something wrong and we chose to sin.

God initiated the plan of salvation by sending Jesus as the propitiation to achieve the redemption of mankind.

God knew we were going to sin or He would not have made His plan to send Jesus.

We are born free of the father’s sin.

We are not saved because of our parents, salvation.

We are born with a spiritual sickness. Our spirit is dead.

If we are born into a Christian family we have a little better chance to come to an awareness of the knowledge of good and evil and its consequences.

Taking Responsibility

As we grow, we learn about what is right and what is wrong.

Stop blaming Adam and our forefathers.

Judge yourself compared to the word of God.

Take responsibility for your own sins.

Take a step of repentance.

Re-establish right relationship with God.

Realize that we can’t overcome sin by any action taken by ourselves other than the action of repentance.

Realize we need God’s grace, which can only be found in Jesus.

Final Comment

The fact that the Bible says we have all sinned and we have all fallen short of His glory is not an excuse to sin or to continue in sin. No longer does the teaching of Original Sin have any power or control over you.

We have seen in this book that it is not sin that keeps a person separated from God but the unwillingness to repent.

One is not prone to sin more than another, nor should one blame their upbringing for a sinful position. It is again the unwillingness to repent that holds one back from living a life full of God’s glory.

God’s glory in one’s life is not a supernatural impartation from a preacher but the adherence to the word of God and allowing God to work through His word into your heart and mind by the power of the Holy Spirit.

We are saints and we have the mind of Christ but repentance is a regular occurrence in the Christian’s prayer life.

As I have stated earlier in this book, “Augustine had set in motion a powerful vehicle of abuse and the Church of the day had broken away from the truth of Jesus”. We shouldn’t look at tradition for the answers to theological questions, but we as individuals and the Church need to seek and find out what the Bible does really say.

Our individual salvation is ours responsibility and we shouldn’t hand over our freedom to another. We have the word of God and the Holy Spirit of God in us to teach and bring revelation.

A paradigm shift in thinking needs to take place in the believer and then the Church. Namely, it’s not sin that is the problem for mankind it’s the resistance to repentance. Repentance is the medicine to the ills of this world and Jesus the remedy. Once we have this revelation we the ekklesia will be the Church that God will use for the healing of nations.

Let us get back to the Bible.

Making deposits

We are like a table with four legs which are the same length to keep us level.
Emotions, Physical, Mental and Spiritual.

The four legs are like a bank account, which needs deposit made to stay healthy.
It is our responsibility to make deposits to others account, as to maintain the relationships.
If we love them, we don’t want them to become bankrupt.

If a person becomes bankrupt, they will walk away.
Be a giver and reap a positive harvest.
