Did you want to take a person on a walk through the Bible to teach them how to become a Christian?
The following example will help you to understand this process as we walk through the Bible finding the golden threads of truth in sixteen different Scriptures.
1/ It was through one-man that sin entered into the world.
Romans 5: 12 Adam sinned, and that sin brought death into the world. Now everyone has sinned, and so everyone must die. (CEV)
2/ Now the Book of Romans says that all have sinned.
Romans 3: 23 for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God (MKJV)
3/ Wages of sin is death
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (MKJV)
4/ Jesus said everyone must be born-again.
John. 3:3 Jesus replied to Nicodemus, “I can guarantee this truth: No one can see the kingdom of God without being born from above.” (GW)
5/ Christ died for us
Romans 5:8 Christ died for us while we were still sinners. This demonstrates God’s love for us. (GW)
6/ Christ died for us and he rose again
1 Corinthians 15:1 And, brothers, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you have received, and in which you stand; 2 by which you also are being kept safe, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain. 3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received, that Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures; (MKJV)
7/ Christ came, not to condemn the world but to save the world.
John 3: 17 God sent his Son into the world, not to condemn the world, but to save the world. (GW)
8/ Believe in the Son and have everlasting life
John 3: 36 He who believes on the Son has everlasting life, and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides upon him. (MKJV)
9/ All people are loved by God
John 3:16 God loved the world this way: He gave his only Son so that everyone who believes in him will not die but will have eternal life. (GW)
10/ To become the sons of God
John 1: 12 But as many as received Him, He gave to them authority to become the children of God, to those who believe on His name, (MKJV)
11/ By Grace, but still taking responsibility for our own sins
Ephesians 2: 8, 9 For by grace you are saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. (MKJV)
12/ Jesus stands at the door
Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him and he with Me. (MKJV)
13/ With the heart you believe
Romans 10:8 But what does it say? “The Word is near you, even in your mouth and in your heart”; that is, the Word of Faith which we proclaim; 9 Because if you confess the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth one confesses unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, “Everyone believing on Him shall not be put to shame.” (MKJV)
14/ Confess Me (Jesus) before man
Matthew 10: 32, Then everyone who shall confess Me before men, I will confess him before My Father who is in Heaven. (MKJV)
15/ Repentance to avoid perishing
Luke 13:3 I tell you, No. But unless you repent, you will all likewise perish. (MKJV)
16/ He that has the Son has life
1John 5: 11And this is the record that God has given to us everlasting life, and this life is in His Son. 12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. 13 I have written these things to you who believe on the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have everlasting life, and that you may believe on the name of the Son of God. (MKJV)
