Taking Responsibility

Please read from my book a liberating message.

Summary of Matter

Satan sinned, Adam and Eve sinned and everyone in the world has sinned. The heart of man wants to sin, it is desperately wicked before salvation and it needs to be transformed to desire to be righteous, which can only happen after salvation.

God stood with Adam when he had sinned in the Garden. He also stood and talked with the serpent in the Garden (Genesis chapter 3). He allowed Satan to stand before Him and ask Him if he could test Job (Job chapter 1 & 2). He permits Satan to accuse the brethren (Revelation 12:10). Satan can make requests to God to test and sift us as he had done with Peter (Luke 22:31).  Zechariah 3:1 also states that God can stand where sin is. He waits for us to repent.

Grace is available to all, but not all will call on God through an act of repentance to avail to themselves the fullness of blessing that God has on offer. An R.S.V.P. is required to receive what is there in the heavenlies (Acts 2:21).

R.S.V.P. comes from the French phrase, “répondez, s’il vous plaît,” which means “please reply.”

Repentance is the R.S.V.P.

Repentance invokes or appropriates the power of the blood of Jesus.

God had judged sin at the beginning of time.

The verdict on sin is that it has no place with Him.

The lack of repentance sentences a person to hell.

Adam was put out of the Garden because he did not repent.

God did not turn His back on Adam or us.

Sin is the spiritual sickness of mankind but the medicine is repentance, and the cure is Jesus.

Sin is in the spirit realm not in the physical, although it is in the physical realm where we see its outworking.

Repentance is stronger than sin.

Repentance opens the door of restoration with God.

Repentance brings about the transformation of the New Creation in Christ.

Repentance brings about justification, the new legal position.

Repentance starts the process of regeneration, in our literal state.

The Judgment seat in heaven is to confirm the sentence upon the unrepentant person.

The repentant believer will not face judgment of sins in heaven; they will be welcomed by God.

The judgment seat in heaven is to confirm the crowns / rewards.

God has made us in His image and likeness with a free will to choose.

Now is the time to be repentant.

We lost our pure state of innocence the second we knew we were doing something wrong and we chose to sin.

God initiated the plan of salvation by sending Jesus as the propitiation to achieve the redemption of mankind.

God knew we were going to sin or He would not have made His plan to send Jesus.

We are born free of the father’s sin.

We are not saved because of our parents, salvation.

We are born with a spiritual sickness. Our spirit is dead.

If we are born into a Christian family we have a little better chance to come to an awareness of the knowledge of good and evil and its consequences.

Taking Responsibility

As we grow, we learn about what is right and what is wrong.

Stop blaming Adam and our forefathers.

Judge yourself compared to the word of God.

Take responsibility for your own sins.

Take a step of repentance.

Re-establish right relationship with God.

Realize that we can’t overcome sin by any action taken by ourselves other than the action of repentance.

Realize we need God’s grace, which can only be found in Jesus.

Final Comment

The fact that the Bible says we have all sinned and we have all fallen short of His glory is not an excuse to sin or to continue in sin. No longer does the teaching of Original Sin have any power or control over you.

We have seen in this book that it is not sin that keeps a person separated from God but the unwillingness to repent.

One is not prone to sin more than another, nor should one blame their upbringing for a sinful position. It is again the unwillingness to repent that holds one back from living a life full of God’s glory.

God’s glory in one’s life is not a supernatural impartation from a preacher but the adherence to the word of God and allowing God to work through His word into your heart and mind by the power of the Holy Spirit.

We are saints and we have the mind of Christ but repentance is a regular occurrence in the Christian’s prayer life.

As I have stated earlier in this book, “Augustine had set in motion a powerful vehicle of abuse and the Church of the day had broken away from the truth of Jesus”. We shouldn’t look at tradition for the answers to theological questions, but we as individuals and the Church need to seek and find out what the Bible does really say.

Our individual salvation is ours responsibility and we shouldn’t hand over our freedom to another. We have the word of God and the Holy Spirit of God in us to teach and bring revelation.

A paradigm shift in thinking needs to take place in the believer and then the Church. Namely, it’s not sin that is the problem for mankind it’s the resistance to repentance. Repentance is the medicine to the ills of this world and Jesus the remedy. Once we have this revelation we the ekklesia will be the Church that God will use for the healing of nations.

Let us get back to the Bible.
